顺便说说费里尼的那段话

夜里，读到约翰·伯格（John Berger）的《约定》（黄华桥译，广西师范大学出版社，2009年第1版），其中一篇标题为“每当我们说再见”。作者引用了电影家费里尼的一个自问自答。这段话，很有意义，所以引发了我浓厚的兴趣。——因为它形象地回答了关于艺术及艺术家身份的问题。

 

费里尼说：何谓艺术家？就是那些发现自己置身于物理现实和形而上现实之间的外乡人。……这个我称之为外乡的中间地带，这个居于有形与无形之间的边远之处，才是艺术家正真的王国。（'What is an artist? A provincial who finds himself somewhere between a physical reality and a metaphysical one. … It's this in-between that I'm calling a province, this frontier country between the tangible world and the intangible one which is really the realm of the artist...' Federico Fellini）

 

看来，他也早就为所谓“音乐家守护的意义”问题给出过深刻解答。
